Closing the information gap on female genital schistosomiasis

Up to 56 million women and girls across Africa are estimated to be affected by female genital schistosomiasis, a frequently overlooked debilitating manifestation of schistosomiasis. This short film explores what it will take to transform health systems in order to correctly diagnose and treat this stigmatizing disease. As part of our broader effort to eliminate neglected tropical diseases, the END Fund’s Flagship Fund is our cornerstone fund, supporting this work by expanding training, improving education, and increasing access to care for women and girls affected by female genital schistosomiasis.
